Hi Bob
and Laura,
I thought
I would update you on Tiz, other than being spoiled, she
is really doing well, adjusted and becoming my best
friend. Took her and we to a hunting preserve in Eastern
South Dakota. It was about a 1200 acre preserve and
more wild birds than planted. Tiz did real well as
she rock solid pointed two wild birds, I shot them for
her, and it is amazing the desire it put in her to hunt
after being on the birds. She didn't think she could
pick up the down birds but she did try to drag them back
to me---by the neck. I am sure the retrieving will come
with age. But, the trip to put her way ahead for our
hunting trips next year. She also, for a young dog,
listened and handled very well to me in the field.
I am
enjoying her very much. Take care and we will talk some
time.

Hi,
Just thought I would let you know
how Jem is doing. She has all her shots now and is
growing tall. She weighed 19lbs last Wed. the 24th. The
vet said she is doing really well. Dennis took her on
her first hunting expedition on Saturday the 27th. She
was afraid of the pheasants at first but grew accustomed
quickly and she is not gun shy. She thought she was lost
in the tall grasses and when she came out as Dennis
called her she was so happy to see him. She is a funny
and loving little girl. Jake and her are getting along
splendidly.
Thank You,
Cathy and Dennis
